These fire-roasted piquillo pepper slices are great for cooking or garnish. They are amazingly sweet with a deep roasted flavor.

Piquillo pepper slices are a versatile way to add a bright note to any dish. You can arrange the strips on a paella for the perfect final touch. Or garnish a chilled piece of bonito tuna on a piece of toast and spear with a toothpick for a simple tapa. We love to simply serve them with fresh bread and olive oil to enjoy the full fire roasted flavor.

Another good recipe is to sauté them in olive oil for a few minutes for a quick side dish for roast lamb or pork.

Piquillos are the finest peppers from the town of Lodosa, in the region of Navarra, prized by connoisseurs. These small firm peppers have gained official recognition and can only be called Pimientos de Piquillo if they come from the protected region. The fire roasting chars the outside of the piquillos, and each pepper is peeled by hand to reveal the sweet, tangy meat below.

Store these all-natural peppers in a cool, dark area like your pantry and use within a day of opening.
