These spicy-sweet little peppers are a favorite treat in the Basque Country.

The thin green peppers are picked early and packed in white wine vinegar creating a tangy and perfectly spicy treat. (They have the heat of something like a banana pepper but they are more delicate and complex.)

They are a favorite with guests. We find that they disappear very quickly and pair perfectly with a good cheese and a crisp white wine.

  • "Piquant but not too spicy in a reusable jar. They are great right out of the jar, and even better paired with fresh peaches and/or on a cracker or bread with any of your favorite cheeses, a bit of greens, etc. They're also good in pasta dishes, but heating reduces the flavor and spiciness. I hope to try to grow some. If I fail, I'll definitely reorder. These are SO worth a try!"
