Sea Salt, Truffle and Smoked Paprika Almonds
Sample three delicious Spanish almonds at your next wine tasting or tapas party. These extra large Marcona almonds are seasoned with three classic Spanish flavors: Mediterranean sea salt, black truffle from the Pyrenees, and smoky Pimentón de La Vera paprika.
Marconas are the finest of Spain's almonds, growing in the arid lands near the Mediterranean Sea. The nuts are extra large and meaty, and not as hard as common almonds. They are a great source of healthy mono-unsaturated fats.
Black truffles are sourced in the Pyrenees Mountains and Spain is one of the world's most important sources. They add an enticing earthy aroma to the almonds.
Pimentón de La Vera is Spain's famous smoked paprika, dried over smoldering encina oak wood. This paprika is the signature flavor of chorizo sausages, and adds a smokiness and mild spiciness to the almonds.
Mediterranean sea salt compliments the natural flavor of the roasted Marcona almonds.
Marconas and Ibérico ham are a classic tapas pairing, great with a nicely chilled white wine or sherry.
