Picos breadsticks are a classic part of the tapas culture of Spain, a crunchy complement to the tasty small plates that are at the center of Spanish tapas. Camperos style picos are shaped like tiny loaves of bread, and have a firm bite and perfect saltiness. Serve them with cured Serrano ham, aged Spanish cheese or a bowl of tapenade along with a refreshing glass of beer or wine.

We work with a small company in Andalucía that makes picos the traditional way, with extra virgin olive oil. They have a great crunch and a flavor that transports us back to Spain.

Camperos are most popular in the area of Jerez, home of the classic sherry of Spain. When you sit down at a tapas bar or restaurant in the area, a plate of these small, crisp picos is sure to be served.

These camperos make for a simple, delicious snack on their own. Pour some in a bowl at your next get-together and you will find they are the perfect complement to dips and other tapas appetizers. Try the authentic taste of Spanish camperos picos!

"Yes, they are just dry crunchy bread sticks but they are a great addition to any spanish tapa. Great shelf life and the memories of munching on them as a child!"
