Similar to corn nuts, this popular Spanish snack differs thanks to the lighter and much larger corn kernels, some nearly an inch across. We find it impossible to resist more handfuls of these incredibly crunchy kernels whenever they are around!

This corn is cooked in Spain, but originates from Peru, the only source for this variety of massive corn kernels! And the size is the key - there are no hard little corn nuts here, just giant, light and crunchy kernels. The kernels are soaked in water before they are fried in oil and sprinkled with the just the right dose of salt. The result is an addictively delicious, crunchy, salty snack.

When La Tienda discovered these quicos, we were immediately smitten. In fact, our team polished off a big bucket of the crunchy corn in one day — quite a testament to these tasty morsels!
