In Spain, friends and colleagues typically gather at bars for drinks and conversation. Tapas and small munchies are always on the scene. This tasty cocktail mix is typical of Spanish bar snacks combining traditional nuts with crunchy beans and the ever-popular quicos, the Spanish version of the corn nut. Quicos are huge by corn standards and have an especially light texture. The giant corn is grown in Peru and brought to Spain where the large kernels are soaked in water before they are lightly fried to crispy perfection and sprinkled with sea salt.
For maximum freshness, we recommend storing them in an airtight container in a cool, dry place.
