Traditional, Hand-painted Spanish Ceramic Serving Piece
Enjoy your salad like a Spaniard: mix some fresh garden vegetables on this beautiful platter as a meal or to share in the middle of the table. A slight one-inch rim not only lends the plate its unique shape, it openly displays your salad while still keeping your greens in place. This carefully crafted salad plate not only completes your table setting, it can serve as a rustic and colorful wall decoration.
El Puente del Arzobispo and the surrounding area in the Province of Toledo are renowned for their exquisite, traditional pottery. We discovered this area years ago during our quest for the finest Spanish ceramics. El Puente’s ancient, narrow streets are lined with potters and ceramics artisans, who carry on a tradition of hand thrown and painted ceramic artistry that began well over a thousand years ago.
Skilled artisans apply every stroke of paint by hand, and as a result each plate bears its own unique signature. While the designs are the same - no two plates are identical. Display this colorful plate prominently as part of your decor when you’re not using it on the table.
This salad plate should be washed by hand to preserve its glaze and color.
